This is an AB progression system. Check out our post on progressions for an in-depth explanation.
Over the years, around 85% of women tennis players (especially WTA) who win the first set go on to win the match. They typically play best of 3 sets. This system is best with WTA, but has a solid win rate in pretty much any tennis match that is best of 3 sets.
This is a live betting system. You will look for a tennis player that won the first set of their match. Your first bet (A bet) will be on them to win the 2nd set. If they win the 2nd set then obviously you won your wager and there is no need to progress to the 3rd set. If they lose the 2nd set, you will need to place your B bet on them to win the match (same as betting on them to win the 3rd set).
Depending on the matchup there can be very steep odds for a player to win the 2nd set so it is best to avoid those matches. I typically don’t like to do this system on anything worse than -200 or so.
The only other rule for this system is that if the 1st set ends in a tie break you skip that match and do not bet and if the 2nd set ends in a tie break then you stop and do not proceed on to the B bet. In this 2nd set tie break scenario you will either win the bet if the player wins the tie break or you will lose the bet if they lose the tie break, you leave it at that and move on.
This AB progression is somewhat less stressful because when you have to do the B bet the odds are usually not too steep because the match is tied 1-1 at that point. It’s also nice because it’s only a 2-part AB system instead of 3 parts or more.
Before you jump in and use the system for real you might want to test it and “paper bet” on your different sportsbooks to get a feel how their live tennis bets are set up, which wagers they offer and which book usually has the best odds.
